Founder/Lead Forest School Teacher
Keturah Huisken
Keturah has been running Forest School programing since 2020 and has lead other outdoor nature-based programing for over a decade. She began her career as a classroom teacher and taught in the classroom for 10 years before deciding to stay home with her firstborn while still trying to find an outlet for her passion for nature and working with kids. From parent and child classes to forest school programing while her own children tag along, she has always found a way.
Assistant Forest School Teacher
Calida Davis
Calida grew up in the woods and meadows of rural Pennsylvania. After college she spent some years traveling- Europe and Africa- and traveling with Missoula Children’s theatre as a Tour Actor/Director before settling in Missoula. Once here she thrived working as an outdoor afterschool program teacher and head of facilities for Clark Fork School, and eventually became the executive director of another preschool while getting her master's in Leadership for Sustainability. In 2021 she co-launched Larch Outdoor Education- a seasonal, overnight outdoor ed program in Seeley Lake. She has been leading and assisting Forest School classes since 2024.
Stone Age Survival Lead Teacher
Clark Patton
Clark Patton has taught survival and primitive skills since 2008 to a wide variety of ages and demographics. After working in wilderness therapy, he started practicing clinical hypnotherapy in Missoula, MT and has been running his private practice since 2014. His passions have led him into the studies of primitive skills, native philosophy, and the practical applications of these skills in modern society. He has been partnering with MVFS/MFS since 2023.
